Home Support Services for Older People

Practical, respectful help with everyday tasks, delivered by the same familiar faces wherever possible.

    Allied Health Services for Older People

    Our allied health team helps you stay capable, confident and supported as your needs change.

    Occupational therapy (OT)Our occupational therapists find practical ways to make daily life easier and safer. This includes home safety assessments, falls prevention, equipment and assistive technology advice, and recommendations for home modifications such as rails and ramps.

    Social workOur aged care social workers support you and your family with the bigger picture: navigating My Aged Care, planning for changing needs, connecting with community services, and support during stressful times such as a hospital discharge.

    How to Access Support at Home Services

    Support at Home is the Australian Government’s in-home aged care program for people aged 65 and over (50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people).
    1. Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or at myagedcare.gov.au to request an aged care assessment.
    2. Have your assessment. An assessor will visit and work out the level of support you’re approved for.
    3. Ask for Soaring Together. Contact us and we’ll explain how to arrange your Support at Home services through our registered partner provider, with Soaring Together delivering your support.

    What Will It Cost?

    Costs depend on the services you choose and your Support at Home funding. Your package budget and care management are handled by our registered partner provider, and we’ll make sure you understand all prices before anything starts.

    Can I use my Support at Home funding for cleaning?

    Yes. Cleaning and domestic assistance are included in Support at Home. You may pay a contribution towards these services depending on your situation, and we’ll explain this clearly upfront.

    Do I need an assessment before I can get help?

    For government-funded Support at Home services, yes. You’ll need an assessment through My Aged Care. You can access our services privately at any time, without an assessment.

    Can I get help for my elderly parent?

    Yes. Many families contact us on behalf of a parent or relative. We’ll involve your loved one in every decision and keep you informed as much as they’d like.
